Julie Juergens – Founder / Principal

Consultant, author, educator, and seasoned executive with over 20 years experience working with community-based organizations to national and international companies across various industries. As the founder of Devenir, Julie is involved in all areas of our work – from client engagement, through strategy and execution, to the effectiveness of the team and practice. Prior to consulting, Julie worked and taught at Stanford University for over 15 years and was on the founding team of the Stanford Center for Social Innovation. She presents nationally at industry conferences and has served on numerous boards and advisory groups. Juergens holds a BA from UC Davis and an MA from Stanford University and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Eva Iglesias – Strategy

Eva focuses on organizational strategy and alignment, marketing strategy, and communications at Devenir. Her passion is to use storytelling to open hearts and connect people to the larger context of life. Prior to Devenir, she worked with Beyond Differences and Sempervirens Fund, to bring about environmental, educational, and social justice solutions. Eva worked in the high-tech industry for over 12 years as a Marketing Executive and Management Consultant in Silicon Valley, Europe, and Brazil. Eva has an Industrial Engineering degree from Barcelona University and an MBA from UC Berkeley. She is fluent in Spanish and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jennifer Rudy – Strategy / Engagement

Jennifer advances equity in social determinants of health for mission-driven organizations. For 20+ years, Jennifer has amplified social impact on grantmaking, project management, organizational development, and fundraising teams. She is a strategic thinker, storyteller, and collaborative leader whose work spans Planned Parenthood, California Department of Public Health, The California Endowment, and nonprofit boards. A certified 21/64 Advisor, Jennifer focuses on philanthropic advising, fund development, engagement, communications, and strategic planning.
She has a BS in Kinesiology and Community Health and a minor in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and an MA in Public Health from California State University, Long Beach, where she was a Health Sciences lecturer.

Makenna Bantillo – Analyst

Makenna prides herself on her organizational and creative problem solving skills. As an analyst at Devenir, Makenna supports clients to achieve their social impact objectives. She is responsible for data tracking and analysis, due diligence, and providing customized client and program support. In addition to her work with Devenir, Makenna runs a small floral design studio. She received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and lives in Los Angeles.

Kaley Burke – Analyst

Kaley is an analytical problem-solver, researcher, writer, and creative thinker. As an associate at Devenir, Kaley leads our grant research, writing, and reporting and provides customized client support. Prior to Devenir, Kaley worked as a Geospatial Information Systems Technician and most recently, a grant writer and sustainability consultant. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara and lives in Seattle, Washington. Kaley enjoys spending her free time outdoors surfing, hiking, or skiing.
